The most important (non-blood relation) men in my life. Left.
Uncle Louis was my mom's boss. I've known him since I was 5, my mom worked for him 2 prior to moving here. Uncle Louis was my first encounter with Europeans, most caucasians I knew before him we're American. He set the bar high for everyone else. He's the whole reason why I'm here. He was the one who brought us here, he offered my mom a job and got our asses down here. When he left, my heart shattered into pieces. Its like I was saying goodbye to a big part of me. I couldn't sleep well for days. I still cry everytime I get to talk to him on the phone.
Right.
Uncle Willem is my mom's colleague. I've only known him for a year and yet it feels like he's always been there. Frankly, I kinda like him better than my biological uncle. HAHA. that sounds so mean. but its true. He's the sweetest and most gentle giant I know. and not to mention, I'm his favorite niece. ;) he isn't Uncle Louis' replacement, he can't compare, but on his own, he's the best. He will never be on par with Uncle Louis but he isn't far off. He's one of the best people i've come to know here and i'm forever thankful for the stars which allowed our paths to cross.
~i just want you to know.
